Rodger Letham is an established and leading rural real estate specialist.
Born in Rakaia, Rodger studied and boarded at Timaru Boy’s High before returning to the family farm at Lauriston and raising three sons with his wife Yvonne.
During his farming career, he built two pedigree flocks of sheep (Dorset Down and Coopworth), and served as Vice President of the Dorset Down Sheep Breeder’s Society.
Eventually, economic and family circumstances prompted a change of direction and Rodger swapped the farming life for a rural consultant position with Hasting’s McLeod in 1988.
Since then, Rodger has become the name behind rural real estate in the district, specialising in all aspects of rural properties, from lifestyle blocks to all sizes of economic farming units.
Rodger has been heavily involved in the community over the years, taking leadership positions within church, school, farming and other groups including Lions and Rotary.
In what spare time he can muster, he enjoys aviation (has his pilot’s licence) reading and tramping. Rodger is also a keen singer and has been involved in many Operatic and Variety Theatre productions over the years. He is an enthusiastic second tenor in the MSA Mens Choir.
His vocal skills also come in useful at work, his skills as an auctioneer being utilised whenever necessary.
Rodger’s philosophy is to provide the best of service with the highest of standards, to build and maintain ‘clients for life’.
In his years of service with Hasting’s McLeod Property Brokers, Rodger has established himself within community as a rural specialist.
